A little about Geoff Van

I was first introduced to the Noosa lifestyle back in the 1990s while competing in the iconic Noosa Triathlon. As a keen surfer, I brought my board along—and as luck would have it, the points through the National Park were absolutely amazing.

That week left a lasting impression. Warm sunshine, welcoming locals, and world-class beaches—it didn’t take long to realise this was somewhere special. Making the move for a true sea change felt like a natural decision, and more than 22 years later, I’m still proudly “living the life.”

Before relocating, I built a diverse business career spanning a decade in banking, followed by 15 years in alpine tourism marketing and management, along with hotel and motel ownership and commercial property development. In 2001, I sold my business and moved to Noosa, embracing both the lifestyle and community.

During my early years here, I became deeply involved with the Noosa Surf Life Saving Club, serving as a Patrol Captain, Training Officer, and later as a Lifeguard with Noosa Council. It gave me a strong connection to the community and a genuine appreciation for the people who make this region so special.

Life evolved quickly. I met my wife at a triathlon in 2005, she joined me in Noosa in 2007, we married in 2012 and welcomed our daughter in 2013. With family came a renewed focus and direction. While I took on roles in hospitality management within the mining sector and later a government contract, I knew my long-term future belonged here on the coast.

Combining my background in business and property with deep local knowledge, I transitioned into real estate in 2017. Since then, I’ve focused on helping clients not just buy and sell property—but secure a lifestyle that many aspire to and few truly understand until they experience it.

Today, I live in Sunrise Beach with my family and still enjoy everything that first drew me here—early surfs, an active outdoor lifestyle, and a strong sense of community.
